Bosch Router Table Not Flush. I haven't gotten there yet. if i can achieve a flush router plate and insert ring, then i will be happy. The large aluminum top makes the table both durable and portable. when cutting one of the tails, a piece ~2”, it became apparent that the insert plate around the router bit was not flush with. On my bosch ra1181 router table, the inset rings (red hole caps) are not flush with the table top. i have this router table and have not had much trouble with that bevel, but it is of interest. if your table is dense mdf, you must pre drill for any screws you put in. Drill size should be slightly smaller than the screw, just enough so the threads get a grip but. i own a bosch ra1181, and am experiencing the common problem where the red plastic insert rings are not flush with the tabletop, instead they are recessed. the bosch ra1181 benchtop router table provides a large work surface for precision and versatility. I do have issues with the circular throat.
